Cars in Germany's City Found Covered with Nazi Symbols in Blood, Police State

Officers stated they were contacted by a man who noticed a automobile in Hanau marked with reddish fluid

Approximately 50 vehicles have been marked with what appears to be blood from a person in the German city of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, as reported by law enforcement.

Cars, exterior walls and mailboxes were defaced, occasionally with Nazi symbols, they stated in a statement.

Police state they were notified during the night on Wednesday night, when a resident noticed that a vehicle in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been covered with a reddish liquid.

The fluid had been placed in the shape of a swastika, they added.

Law enforcement then discovered numerous other smeared automobiles and residential walls in the surrounding area.

These symbols are illegal in Germany under regulations outlawing the public exhibition of Nazi-era symbols.

Police say early analysis suggest the substance was likely human bodily fluid.

"At present there remains no lead as to its origin; investigators are presently not aware of any injuries in association with the occurrence," they commented.

City officials said they were attempting "to unravel the mystery" and have asked to the community for tips.

An important official said the incident made him without words and needed to be addressed rapidly.

"This event affects the very heart of Hanau and revives the pain of the extremist violent incident half a decade ago," he wrote on online, recalling the death of nine people by a shooter focusing on people of migrant background in five years prior.
